Can I enroll in PSE&G's Time of Use Rate and SmartFlex?

Sign-up reward: $50 reward for each compatible device type you enroll&mdash;smart thermostat or EV&mdash;in the FlexPower Program.
Participation reward: $25 for residential (per device type enrolled) and $50 for commerical customers for participation in Flex Hours Events each year.

Yes, SmartFlex is compatible with PSE&G’s new Time of Use Rate.

Tip: Customers who enroll in Time of Use Rate may save on electricity bills by making changes to their daily schedules or device settings to reduce electricity usage during on-peak hours when electricity is most expensive, and shift some of that energy usage to mid-peak or off-peak hours when electricity is cheaper. To earn rewards for participating in Flex Hours Events, you’ll need to reduce your energy use during the events in addition to any changes you make to shift your energy use to cheaper mid-peak and off-peak hours after enrolling in TOU.
