What are the eligibility requirements for joining the program(s)?

To join the SmartFlex Program:

• You must be a PSE&G New Jersey electric customer.
• Residential customers are eligible if they have a smart meter installed at their home.
• Must not be enrolled in the FlexPower Program.

To join the FlexPower Program:

• You must be a PSE&G New Jersey electric customer.
• Residential customers are eligible to enroll with smart thermostats, electric vehicles or electric vehicle chargers, and electric tank water heaters.
• Small- to medium-sized businesses are eligible to enroll with smart thermostats if your monthly peak demand is less than 150 kW.
• You must have a compatible smart thermostat, EV/EV charger, or electric tank water heater.
• If enrolling with a smart thermostat, you must have a central air conditioner operated by the thermostat and it must be connected to a reliable, always-on Wi-Fi network.
• If enrolling with an EV charger or water heater, it must be connected to a reliable, always-on Wi-Fi network.
